FOUND:Diagnostic and Service Summary 1. Seating System (Interior): Finding: Confirmed loose/fallen springs at the base of the seat. Root Cause: The rubber retainers that act as structural supports have degraded and crystallized due to age, breaking into pieces and leaving the springs without tension or support. Status: Replacement of the seat support retainers is required. 2. Engine Management (Check Engine Light): Initial Diagnosis: Fault codes related to the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System were identified. Repair Performed: Found cracked and degraded vacuum hoses located above the valve cover and beneath the plastic engine cover. These hoses were repaired, and subsequent testing confirmed the Secondary Air Injection system is now fully operational. New Finding: During the post-repair road test, the vehicle’s computer triggered new codes for a "Lean Condition" (Poor Mixture). After sealing the initial vacuum leaks, the system is now detecting unmetered air or a fuel delivery deficiency in another area. 3. Vehicle Release Status: Pending: Diagnosis of the "Lean Condition" requires additional diagnostic time for pressure, flow, and vacuum leak testing. Customer Decision: The customer did not authorize the additional time required to complete the diagnosis and elected to take the vehicle. Disclaimer: The vehicle is being released with the Check Engine Light ON due to the lean mixture fault. This condition may result in poor fuel economy, reduced engine performance, and potential long-term damage if not addressed.
