- 1. Symptom Reported by Customer The customer reports the constant appearance of the warning message "CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM" on the dashboard (tachometer) while driving the vehicle. 2. Technical Findings and Verification An inspection of the electrical and charging system was carried out: A full scan of the engine control modules (ECM) was performed, with no stored fault codes found. A lack of communication was confirmed between the vehicle's modules and the Battery Charge Monitoring Module. During the visual inspection, it was found that the harness connector plugging directly into the negative battery terminal was physically broken and disconnected. The 3-pin circuit was verified, confirming that the LIN communication lines, current, and return signal are functional and in good condition. 3. Root Cause of the Problem The direct cause of the "CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM" warning message is the physical disconnection of the Battery Management System (BMS) module. When disconnected, the vehicle control module cannot receive data about the battery's state of charge and health, activating the alert as a precaution. The physical damage to the connector (terminal) prevents communication within the vehicle's network. 4. Proposed Solution The recommended repair is to replace the BMS connector to restore physical integrity and communication within the vehicle network. Steps to follow: Replace and secure the new BMS connector onto the battery terminal. Verify that correct communication is restored between the vehicle modules. Clear the dashboard warning and perform a test drive to confirm that the system functions correctly and the message does not reappear.

2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Mileage352,848Service Date11/26/2025Services Performed- FOUND:We verified the concern and found that the engine is consuming too much fuel due to a lean mixture condition. Essentially, this means there is too much air and not enough fuel. Upon inducing smoke in the intake system, we found that the intake manifold has new cracks, causing vacuum leaks. Regarding the next concern, which is about the car driving poorly when starting from a stop, we were able to verify that the problem comes from the transmission. We found codes related to low pressure and problems with the correlation of gear number 1. This indicates that with a good oil level but low pressure, the pressure is escaping from somewhere. In this case, due to the high mileage, we can agree that the leak is coming from the clutches. Now, regarding the fuel level, we proceeded to check the entire circuit that integrates the cluster computer, the wiring connected to the level sensor located directly on the fuel pump. We found that the pump's level sensor is working properly and producing its corresponding signal. However, we found that the cluster is not testing the correct voltage, and this creates an anomaly in the fuel level reading. We found that the cluster has failed and needs to be replaced or rebuilt. For the turn signals, the integrated circuit that runs from the switch to the lights was checked. We found that there are no problems with the lights or the turn signal relays. When backtesting the switch connector on the steering wheel, we found that the signal has errors, caused by a false internal contact. The turn signal switch has failed. Regarding the antifreeze leak, the system was pressurized to the manufacturer's specifications, and we found that the leak originates from an outlet on the timing cover. We found damage to the corroded aluminum part, which was cleaned, and the clamp holding the hose was replaced. The system was then pressurized again, and for the moment, the leak is not recurring. If the leak will return, it is recommended to replace the timing cover. Recommended R&R transmission assembly Recommended R&R intake manifold assembly Recommended R&R instrument cluster assembly Recommended R&R turn signal switch.

2010 Toyota Corolla
Mileage88,853Service Date11/20/2025Services Performed- FOUND:Concern verified: we found that every time the engine is started cold after being parked overnight, it makes a noise upon starting, and after a second, a rattle is heard coming from the top of the engine. We proceeded to review technical information and found a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) that applies to the description of the problem. It is recommended to remove the valve cover to check the part number of the exhaust camshaft sprocket and, if it matches the part number identified as defective by the manufacturer, replace it. Upon removing the valve cover, we found that the part corresponds to a defective component. Recommended: R&R exhaust camshaft adjuster sprocket.

Mileage68,469Service Date10/30/2025Services Performed- FOUND: Concern verified, we found fault code P0300, Random misfire accompanied by shaking and lack of power when accelerating. We proceeded to review the live data while driving and observed that the fuel trims while idling versus while accelerating at 60 mph remained within specification (+10/-10). However, upon acceleration, the car quickly entered open loop. We suspected an ignition or compression failure. A relative compression test was performed and passed; the fluctuations indicated an engine with even compression in all cylinders. We proceeded with a coil-on-plug inspection to check the waveform and dwell time. We found many irregularities in the firing time in cylinders 1, 2, and 3. We removed the coil pack and found that it was broken in cylinders 1, 2, and 3; the plastic was broken, allowing the spark to escape. Ignition coil pack failed. Recommended R&R Ignition coil pack.
