- FOUND:Customer Complaint: Noise when braking. Technical Findings: Remaining Lifespan: Front brake pads have a thickness greater than 6 mm and the rear pads are over 7 mm, which indicates they still have friction material remaining. Cause of Noise: The system experienced overheating. This has caused the surface of both the rotors (discs) and the pads to glaze (crystallize), removing the necessary porosity for quiet, efficient braking. Recommendations: Minimum Service: Resurfacing (machining/turning) the rotors and replacing the brake pads to eliminate the glazed layer. Optimal Recommendation (Standard Warranty): Full replacement of both rotors and pads to ensure maximum performance and completely eliminate the recurrence of the noise.
