  • FOUND: found wiring harness to chassis control module to be burnt. repaired harness and connector. noticed while idling, harness ground would heat up to around 220 degrees, and hotter under slight load. replaced control module with customer provided module, (used) and retested, however vehicle would not start. added secondary ground to harness in attempts to discipate heat and ampterage draw, however problem persisted. upon inspection of wiring diagram found chassis control module controls fuel pump operation by providing both power and ground. connected amp clamp to fuel pump driver wires and found amperage draw of fuel pump was high at idle, inspected harness for any burns or issues, and found none, inspected resistance while off and found normal resistance in harness from pump to module, recommend replacing fuel pump and inspecting if problem persists
  • ELECTRONIC STEERING ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR – Remove & Replace – Steering Angle Sensor – [Includes: Calibration.] – [NOTE: Labor estimates listed are for R&R only and DOES NOT include diagnosis time.]
  • removed and replaced fuel pump and inspected chassis control module for any excessive heat and found module was operating up to 80 degrees colder. recommend replacing module if possible problem still persists however has dissipated heavily

  • FOUND: p0171 and under boost codes stored in PCM, upon inspection found whistle coming from valve cover, PCV diaphragm has failed causing excessive crankcase vacuum. upon inspection of intake manifold found bypass valve at intake to be missing, recommend replacing intake manifold and valve cover to address concern
  • removed replaced intake manifold with OEM unit, inspected PCV bypass valve on new unit and found no issues, also removed and replaced valve cover w/ integrated PCV diaphragm. inspected for leaks, none found.
  • removed and replaced water outlet. torqued to specification, vacuum filled cooling system, inspected for leaks, none found, no further leaks found.
